I, once again, got extremely bored with homework, so yeah. What do you do?
Procrastinate! (And really, it's not something funny actually, it really got me into trouble
last year!) But yeah, seems like I'm still not cured..

Anyways, then I remembered I made a few Junjou Egoist manga icons,
some months ago. (Yes, they're quite terrible. Yes, they're over ( Read more... )

Oops! You colored Usagi-san's neck BLUE! LOL, you crack me up...

Other than that, nice job, expecially on the iconz!

lol, the one where Usagi-chan doesn't have a neck (the one with him smoking a cig :p)
You can pick colors with the dropper from one of the color manga scans or a scan from the artbook~
Great job on your first coloring :D

I didn't even notice the neck until it was pointed out. XD; I really like the colourings though! I will never attempt manga colouring, oh God. What a trainwreck that would be, I'll stick with my crapola icons. Which you're also good at. No fair. Haha;

Of course, well, this is not really the place to give a whole tutorial, so I'll keep it short.
At first, patience is required, well not on all colorings, but some can be quite tricky.

I don't know which program you're using, but I'm still very loyal to my Paint Shop Pro 7.
Yes, that's right. No Corel, no Adobe etc. So just find a program that's comfortable for you. And then.. I use alot of layers.. I experiment with opacities, just what looks the best. I always choose a color that's darker than I want the outcome to be. And what really works for me, is setting layers to multiply. Just try it out :)

I haven't tried shading yet, so most of my colorings only exist of a few colors. Hope this has helped a lot. Maybe you can upload one of your colorings to show me what you got so far? I'm interested ^^
