As a follow-up to this post, 2011 has already garnered one first - namely "being in control of a skidding car", which as it turns out is completely and totally non-awesome. It happens so fast.

I did manage not to ding anything (or anybody) though.

Frick! I'm glad you're OK and that no disaster struck!! How did it happen??

It started snowing when I was in Surrey and still had to drive home (ugh). The main roads were basically fine, although I have driven in better visibility, but the side street I live on was quite snowy when I got home, so when I accelerated after a stop sign I kind of went all over the (empty) intersection. Fortunately I am not an idiot and was driving slowly; also fortunately I didn't hit the people who were walking their dog. *headdesk*
