Finally took the plunge (aw, for the second time this year) and changed my name from Olivejuice_Icon to something that means a lot to my husband and I- lavanille. Vanille is the scent he's bought me for my birthday every year since we've been together. I wore it when I got engaged, married, & on our honeymoon

Aw, that's so sweet. I'm so sorry about your best friend. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. This sounds weird, but I honestly don't think I'd be able to handle having a screenname that reminded me of someone precious who I lost. I don't know how you were able to go on LJ without being a bit depressed by that sort of reminder, but you totally have my admiration for it. I hope it's that much more reinvigorating now to always see a name that reminds you of a wonderful relationship that's alive and strong whenever you go on LJ.

Also, you have excellent taste. Vanilla is the best. Why'd you go with the French translation? (Unless it's also used in another probably romantic language, which I am too lazy/ have too dead of a laptop to check.)

I think I may have been a small part. I do know he went on to become a firefighter & got married. I find myself thinking about him during September a lot, along with Julie's family. :)

It's moreso a mixture of Spanish & French now. LOL! Vanille is I assume French for Vanilla (the bottle that I got the inspiration from was in all French and made in France) and La was inspiration from....enchilada sauce that my family calls me every blue moon- La Victoria.

Vanilla Enchiladas sounds gross. What was I thinking? LMAO!

LOL- I didn't take into account what the namechange would mean. I'm pretty sure people are wondering who this lavanille is. I even am still writing olivejuice_icon every once in a while and having to catch myself last second. Hehe!
