I came to Scotland! I'm in Aberdeen in a very nice hotel that Deirdre paid for and the walls are made of thin and uncertainty. I already met a little girl. She said her parents left her behind because she drowned in the pool. I told her she could stay with me if she wanted. Tomorrow I will go to Deirdre's house and make it nice and clean again

He certainly will behave himself, or Louise will break a mirror over his head again! She told me! He said he's looking out for me. And to tell you to keep your shirt on. I'm not sure why he thought you would take it off. Maybe he didn't want you to be cold.

She's a good little girl. She's singing nursery rhymes and Louise likes them. Everything will be okay with Deirdre's house, Dad. I love you too.

Oh, how I love that Louise. She's a terrific woman. I believe Razvan when he says he's looking out for you, though. And how kind of him to think of my well-being, too. You tell him my shirt is on indeed...

I do believe everything will be alright. I know you're more than capable of handling it. I hope you and the little girl have a good time together until it's time for her to go.

She's fantastic. And I told him! He just asked to come in because it's cold. I gave him a blanket.

All hotels are like this, but they are better than hospitals with walls made of dread. Only Peter's hospital is different. The walls there are made of hope.

I can certainly understand why. So many people are in and out of hotels, bringing so much with them. Though I suppose some are just in, and not out...

She will be okay now. She says she has an Aunty she wants to go see. So she'll stay with me, and tomorrow she'll go home to Aunty.

I'm so glad she has you to look after her, and to help her get home. It's little things like that... they're just so wonderful, and filled with hope. They help me to not be afraid of what might come.
