it's chipper's favorite game - i'll rumple the doormat and then poke the feather-on-a-stick toys under it until they "peek out" the other side where he can grab them. emily invented the game and she'll get so excited that she actually dives under the mat after the feathers when i pull them back under the mat so they seem to "hide" from her, and ( Read more... )

chipper is still doing well, no side effects from the chemo, though i'm still worried about whether he's eating enough. this morning i was at the computer and he was curled up in his usual spot under my desk watching me. he's been spending a lot more time under there lately and this morning i figured out why as i sat here at the computer eating ( Read more... )

chipper started his chemo today. he was supposed to just get a second biopsy because the first one wasn't conclusive enough to make a definite diagnosis of lymphoma, but it was so close that combined with his other tests and exams it seems pretty clear that that's the type of cancer he has and after talking to both vets i thought it seemed best to ( Read more... )

chipper saw the specialist today. my friend pat drove us to his appointment in baltimore, and for the first time ever i decided chipper didn't need to be confined to a carrier while he rode in the car. he's so used to being on a leash and harness by now that i just put that on him and let him loose in the car. he spent most of the ride stretched ( Read more... )
