If you are triggered by very, very sad things, about babies in particular, or things that are maybe slightly traumatic, please don't read any further. We just lost a baby at work, and there are things I need to say, but they will more than likely make you cry and I don't want to trigger or traumatize anyone. Oh A, I'm sorry such horrible days even happen. I want to give you a quiet embrace full of silence and solace that lasts until you have the strength to return to your real world, knowing that a caring embrace is waiting in the background if you need it again. I've been in similar situations and I know that your presence and kindness and caring are all that is keeping those parents from shattering. While you drain all of your energy to keep them whole, know that they do need you and appreciate everything you do. And so do I. - Anita from Boston

Life is too hard sometimes.

I believe that life is bigger than death, but it sure doesn't feel like that when death happens.

But I'm glad you're there for these families, because you're so compassionate and good and I know that brings them some comfort even if it can't fix anything.
