I am very sad for Kurt and Blaine. Now that family has gone home the place will feel more empty than ever. Its hard to have all the baby stuff around with no baby. I hope, that somehow they will eventually get Violet back. In the meantime I hope they remain kind and patient and loving with each other. And they need to keep in touch with the hudmels and their other friends.
Most of all they need to cling to each other and their love, which is all they need to see them through.

I'm sad for them, too. (Is it really cocky to say that I cried while I was writing this?)

I can't promise that it's going to be easy, and I can't promise that they're always going to be kind to each other, but I can promise you that there is a happy ending to this story :)

Once again, you've hit it perfectly. Kurt and Blaine are lucky to have each other, but Burt was wise to warn Kurt about the different ways people grieve. The stages of grieving are not linear; but shock and loss of appetite sure are the first ones to hit and how long they last is anyone's guess. Very individual. This chapter hits very deeply. And no amount of singing the national anthem nor Independence Days nor potato salad with bacon nor any other kind of distraction is ever enough to pull one out of the grief. It just has to run its course.

You are so right, and it takes longer for some people than it does for others. People grieve at different paces and in different ways, even people who are married to each other, and that makes things so very difficult ... So glad this fic is pinging all the right buttons for you :)
