It'll get better eventually. Be patient, love - things like this don't just resolve themselves overnight...

I just can't really find it in me to feel sorry for Abby. I just can't. But I can't stand seeing Kurt and Blaine hurting this much. ;__;

My heart breaks for those two lovely men who have so much love to give a child...and each other. I hope that Abby comes to her senses or that another child comes along that they could love just as much...one that is meant for them. Perhaps they need to adopt a child that's already waiting for a family rather than trust the whims of an unpredictable teenager. In the meantime, they need to cling to each other and reassure each other that, Come What May...they will love each other till their dying day. They both need lots of physical affection from each other right now.

Mmm, you are so right. My heart breaks for them too (and I wrote the thing! Am I horrible or what??) And as for the physical affection - well, just wait for Chapter 15 :)

Mood fluctuations as grief takes hold in different ways is perfectly executed. Abby had to assuage her guilt somehow, and she did it in the best way she knew how, despite her lacking in depth of feeling for these two hurt men. She is immature and arrogant. I felt Blaine's anger to my core. And the waffling....maybe we can be part of Vi's life? Anything is better than nothing? I can't give you enough credit for this chapter. It's amazingly bang on.

Thank you :) Your amazing comments continue to encourage me throughout the posting of this fic - I was so worried that people wouldn't like it, or would think it was too depressing, but I'm so pleased that it's touching you like this. So, so glad you like it!

First of all, I loved this fic before the rewrite. But whatever you've done, there is just so much more in it this time. I believe you are aiming for authenticity; it's that quality that keeps readers coming back for more. If they don't want depression where grief is concerned, then they can read something else. You've hit the authenticity nail on the head. What has happened to these two big-hearted men shouldn't happen to anybody; but it does. And you've created a wonderful story that is memorable.

Urrgh, the story is killing me. But I loved the link to the Brahms intermezzo. I opened it in another window and listened while I read that scene. It was like watching a movie with a lovely soundtrack.

Oh, GOOD, I'm glad someone opened that. I wanted to set the scene, and that piece just totally did it for me - I'm glad it worked for you, too!
