Ennis has the heart of a lion when it comes to Jack and wanting to keep him safe and clean. I hope they both can overcome the need for drugs. It is so very sad for Jack to have to watch his Mother dye and still on her deathbed deny Jack the comfort and love a mother should feel for her child.I am very scared for what just walked back into Jacks life, wished they had driven just a little further and gotten safely home.
Thank you for this chapter, I love these two young men more and more.

Looks like a seedy character from Jack's past has crawled out of the woodwork and I'm wondering now if they are even going to make it back to the facility in one piece. That was so realistic about Jack wanting to use again after what happened at the hospital and I'm not so sure that he won't depending on what happens when more of his ghosts emerge to haunt him.

Tense, exciting chapter. Yeah, I think we are all going to wonder who the smelly creature is that has just slid into Jack's life again. Wouldn't it be something if it was the guy that was Jack's "First"? But, being that much older than jack, and dirty and smelly, it can't hardly be a pusher; I don't know. I really have to think about this one.

BTW, for such a serious chapter, thank-you so much for our brief second of humor..."She's only got about two teeth, and I think they're green." That was classic...LOL...and how it would just come out of someone Ennis' age, and sound so natural. It was a much needed breath of fresh air.
