Still reeling. Not trying to make a big issue out of it, as we spent all day together, but Avery sensed something was wrong yesterday and rang me today and we talked about it for a long time. It’s not Avery’s fault that this happened, because Avery wasn’t the one kissing Jack. Jack kissed him. He still feels guilty but I told him not to. He oughtn’t be too hard himself.
He did say that I ought to give Jack a huge lecture, just to lay down the rules if he is unaware of them. Which, apparently, he is. Snogging people who are not me is not something I condone. Maybe I would have excused Avery and Jack if the situation had been different. Maybe.
