TV Schedule - Fall 2012

May 17, 2012 11:30

Finally all the schedules have been released. And my hulking behemoth of a schedule is prepared. I have no idea how I'm going to do this without a DVR because I'm pretty sure you can't bring your DVR to college. Thank god for my ABC and CW apps. And Hulu. I may have to invest in Hulu ( Read more... )

Hulu is extremely helpful now that I'm up at college. CBS.com works for the CBS shows. And when I come up, I use the DVR for shows that aren't online.

And whoa at your schedule! I think our schedule's about the same in numbers. And of course, it'll change depending on whether or not I like the new shows.

Can't wait for 666 Park Avenue, Partners, and Revolution.

See, that's my issue with CBS. I don't know if they just hate my browser (possible, Opera is not compatible with everything), but whenever I try to watch things on their website, it does not make me happy. I sort of feel like I'm forced to watch their shows live. I wish they would just get an app like ABC and the CW.

I have no idea how I'm going to maintain this schedule. I didn't even think about cable shows other than Haven.

Those are the three non-CW shows I'm looking forward to most! (My body is preparing itself for Arrow. Kaaatie). I really hope they live up to it, I think those could be really fun shows.

They'll release season 6 of Bones on DVD here soon. I'm quite excited about that.

SPN was moved to Wednesday? REALLY?!?! How weird is that?

Just out of curiosity:
1)Aren't there any commerical breaks when shows only run for 30 minutes? I feel like in Germany they'd still somehow stretch this to 60 minutes. -_-
2) When do they show Fringe? On Fridays?

Yay Bones!

It actually makes a lot of sense? Fridays is kind of where you put shows to die and the new guy at the CW really likes Supernatural, so it would make sense he'd put shows he doesn't like (in this case, America's Next Top Model) on Fridays. It also makes a LOT of sense to put Arrow with SPN since it was paired with Smallville for so long and there's no way they'd premiere a new show on Friday. So it's good. Now SPN just needs to be moved to Monday and it will have been on every night. ;) *is actually watching Hollywood Babylon right now*

30 minute shows are generally actually 22 minutes show, 8 minutes commercial, give or take a minute here and there.

Fringe is Fridays at 9, same time as SPN was.

Somehow that's a show I don't watch in English. I don't know. :/

So it's like the "death slot" or something? *g*

Haha. But Wednesday is really baaaad. Saturday mornings were nice to catch up with the show.

22 minutes?! That's short. And how long is a commercial break? When I was in the U. S. three years ago and watched SPN on TV (\o/), the commercial breaks seemed so short in comparison to those on German TV.

But it's not a show in the "death slot", is it?

Pretty much all of Fridays is the Death Slot. A couple other networks have a few death slots that they just can't seem to fill without things crashing and burning, but Friday is pretty much universally dead. Dawn Ostroff originally put SPN there because she wanted to kill it dead.

A commercial break is usually about 3 minutes? Give or take.

Fringe is definitely on death row. But it's performed adequately enough there to get renewed at least.

I use Hulu or other online watching sites. I've stopped watching a number of shows I used to really love because I simply don't have the time. Downloading can often be really slow at college.

Boo for slow downloads. They will be the death of me. *overdramatic*

Now, I live at home, but I still wouldn't download anything using my school's wifi because they've kinda made it clear they're watching out for that. But I'm overly cautious so there's also that.
