THAT MOVIE WAS SO GOOD OMG.
I watched BB last night and TDK this morning and it just pulled everything together so well. Ugh, I cannot wait for all the videos with all the parallels and the amazing wonderfulness.
Everything in that movie was just so flawless. The actors were amazing. I'm not a Tom Hardy fan by any means, but he did a really good job with Bane. And JGL and Anne and everyone else were so good too. And Christiiiiaaan. He was so born for this role. So amazing. I was thinking this last night when I was watching BB, but when he screams in pain I BELIEVE HE IS DYING AND HE IS CHRISTIAN BALE SO HE IS PROBABLY METHOD ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY BREAK HIS BACK.
There wasn't as much Batman in this as the others but I think that is okay because it suited the story. But I guess I can see how people wouldn't be happy about that? But I think the point of the story was that he was back where he was when we saw him as a child, broken beyond all repair and he managed to see what was important to him and rise above that because he is a strong, wonderful person.
AND HE HAS A ROBIN! Which means my prediction about that little boy being Jason Todd is...kind of trueish? BLAKE SOUNDS AN AWFUL LOT LIKE DRAKE I AM JUST SAYING. Though I think it would have been better if his given name was Dick because DICK IS HIS FAVORITE.
I gotta say though, my favorite part of this movie is Catwoman. I don't like her in the comics and I HAAAATED her in the last Batman movie, but oh man she did it for me so much here. Anne Hathaway rocked it so hard. I think I feel about her the way most people felt about Black Widow after Avengers, if that made any sense? BASICALLY I WANT ALL THE SELINA KYLE FIC RIGHT THE FUCK NOW. Not so much the Bruce/Selina because I still don't ship it (Bats/Wondy OTP 4lyf) but if there was some not super shippy fic about them traveling the world awesomely, I would be up for that.
AND MARION. Let me just say, I would have been pissed as shit if she was not secretly Talia al Ghul. It would have been like, WASTED OPPORTUNITY, NOLAN. But he did not disappoint. I mean, I pretty much expected it because I know about Talia, but my theater was like OMGWTFBBQHOOOLYSHIT. And I am assuming she is currently preggers with Damien because I can. The Talia/Bane bit was...sweet, actually? IDK. I mean, I don't ship it like I ship Alfred/Gordon of course. Or the epic platonic Gordon/Bruce bromance.
It was an amazing ending to the series. I feel like with this part, it feels more like a complete story rather than two individual episodes, which is what the first two really felt like for me. I AM A VERY HAPPY KELLY. <3 <3 <3
