Research can be very rewarding (and never-ending); you may need some statistics/math courses, even if it's qualitative, but it sounds like a fun area. Do what you truly love and careers will open up.
If you know the profs, you could ask them to show you some of the ins and outs of what they're doing, see if you enjoy the daily grind of it. And if you go for upper level courses or grad work, there should be opportunities to be a T.A./grad assistant and see if that's for you.

I've taken an intro stats class, which I hope will be enough because I did not enjoy it a lot. I know that one of the professors recently wrote a book about women's roles in The Bachelor so maybe I can get into that kind of research area.
One of my professors who I spoke to said that she was offered a funding assistantship to attend grad school and teach so that would be the best possible scenario because I would like the least amount of loans possible.
