Arkie Alderton declared his love for Melisande Grubbly-Plank this month. I have not heard Lucas Coote's opinion on that matter yet, but I am assuming that I have just missed it not that it has not been expressed. I reckon that Arkie Alderton must have been driven to some kind of madness to finally admit it to anyone, so - I don't know what that says about people, but I know that some things are just better left unsaid because it just winds up with people laughing in your face and behind your back about it.
I don't know that from personal experience. I'm just guessing.
Because I know that there are things I would never say to people. It doesn't mean they aren't there, it just means that you don't say them. Because they're probably one-sided. And they make you feel bleeding stupid.
That said. I feel a little bad for him. I like him on principle, he's a genius. I've never actually met him, although I feel as if I should change that because I love his brooms. I've always admired he and Devlin Whitehorn. They far exceed anything I could do in that aspect.
But this month has gone to prove that there are things that you think and feel and there are things that you say and they are usually not the same things.
Stephanie Keitch caught the Snitch against Rhea Pontner. It was a good match to be at. The Magpies had momentum and then the Tornadoes did, but Stephanie came away with the Snitch. She always acts like she's caught the Snitch for the first time whenever she gets it, it's fun to watch.
My birthday was last week. It was a good birthday. Keifer and I went to the match and then Mitch Tutshill won and I was invited to celebrate the win with them. I had fun, they're a fun group. I'm sorry more people don't want to spend time with them, they were fun to play with last season even though it was such a rotten one on my end. They work hard. Shut up Carly.
Anyway, the Magpies won and that's brilliant. I'm at home now with a book since we're all out of our post-match obligations. Granted Cormac has more than I do, but I've still got a few. I have a bottle of wine that I'm going to open up. And now you know what retired Quidditch players do once they haven't got Snitches to catch anymore. (Not that I'm not busy, between U-21 and the Magpies.)
I'd almost forgotten, Alastor, your wedding was beautiful, I doubt you see this anytime soon but thank you and Lisa again for inviting me.
