Several of those girls hit their crying quota for the season, and tall girl needs to get over it.

Yay ANTM!

Ugh, yes, that tall girl needs to lurch her way out the door.

I don't watch ANTM, but the other shows I watch on Wednesdays don't start until next week and my sister wanted to watch so I watched with her (only like the last half hour, I guess). Next week looks interesting with the makeovers! Those are always interesting episodes, lol.

I have no idea where Hellcats is going either! I thought it'd be a good movie, but I don't know how they'll turn it into a series. I guess they'll just keep adding more plot concepts and new obstacles/issues and whatever with the characters.

I don't have Showtime, but I was watching The Big C online for a few weeks. I gave up after 2 episodes though because work started and I got busy and now my shows are starting and I wasn't really even that interested in the show to begin with, I guess. I like Laura Linney, but I just couldn't get into the show.

I've never heard of Terriers! I did like Veronica Mars though so I might like this. But wait, it's about dogs and also like VMars...the dogs aren't detectives are they? haha.

Oh, yes! The makeover episodes are all the best! I'm thinking I might just go through and watch the makeover episodes of all the cycles. Partly to see the makeovers and partly to see the crazy ways Tyra comes up with to tell them about their makeovers.

Yeah, I don't know if Hellcats is a sustainable show...it might run it's course pretty quickly, or just devolve into a soap opera. But as long as they keep giving me cheer routines on a weekly basis, I don't really care.

I wasn't too wowed about The Big C at first either, but I do really love Laura Linney, so I was willing to stick it out for her, and it really gets better with every episode. This last one was really, really good, in my opinion.

Terriers is about these two guys who do investigation work for the downtrodden, and it's very Mars-esque, because they have to operate outside the law sometimes. No detective dogs, though, thank goodness. I recommend it.

Having spent the majority of my childhood being called a) fat, chubby, huge, etc., b) dork, nerd, geek (and not in the complimentary way I own it now), or c) teacher's pet, smartypants, goody-two-shoes...I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for the super tall skinny girl. I mean, I'm sure it hurt and was hard and everything but compared to a lot of names that get passed around playgrounds and hallways, giant is nothing to cry about.

I was also WTFing about the Demi Lovato. She's a sane Disney brat and I appreciate that she has meat on her bones and she's trying to do good things in the world, but what was she doing on this show about modeling?

At least you weren't called Soup Cooler, right? Wtf was that nickname even about. I mean, I know she explained it but...is that really the only insult thrown at her? Also, I lovedlovedloved how Tyra asked, "When was the last time you cried about being tall?" or whatever, and her answer was "Since senior year of high school" and I was all, "Um, you mean last episode."

Perhaps Tyra is trying to get back in the good graces of preteens so she can do a Lifesize 2. Or else she's hoping Demi will help her restart her music career.

Also, Ann's 18. So senior year of high school was, like, three months ago.

I've been watching Hellcats, so I ended up catching the tail-end of ANTM, and I was Laughing. My. Ass. Off at the little Demi Lovato speech/plug/woe-ness. I would be so miserable all the time if I was tall and gorgeous and talented. It reminded me of a Miley Cyrus quote I heard a while back, and it's apparently from her "memoir" regarding bullying: "I clutched my grilled cheese sandwich like it was the hand of my best friend. It pretty much was my best friend those days." *dies*

And, I agree re: Hellcats. It's not really what I expected, and I don't know how they're going to keep it going if it feels like their "bigger" things have already happened. It's not impressive by any means, but, it's tolerable, I suppose.

If I was tall and gorgeous and talented

I mean, it is a pretty hard life I lead.

Hah, jkjkjkjkjk. Anyway, there is so much ridiculousness floating around on that show. Cannot deal. And grilled cheese is the new diamond (as in a girl's best friend...)

Yeah, I don't know what's going to happen. Chances are Ashley will get pulled back to the Methodist school (which, in hilarity, she had to explain to Marty was a religious school) and then Marty will have to learn how to be captain. And there's that other silly storyline with the coach and her drama. Who knows? But, as I say, if they give me a cheer routine every week, chances are I'll make my lunch through the other parts and have a jolly time.

I'm really loving The Big C. The thing with the lobster was pretty excellent, I think.

Oh, so much yes. And when she was floating in the pool, she was in a lobster pose and it looked so lovely, with her shadow and the lobster's shadow.
