Sanctuary - 309 - Vigilante

There is a wrestling award called a Slammy. And it was compared to the Tonys, the Oscars and the Grammys. And this concludes my weekly update on the WWE.

Also SyFy showed enough commercials for IceQuake that I started to think, "You know, maybe I will watch this." Advertising schemes, they work on me.

My live tweets of this episode definitely consisted of a lot of Nikola love. And, um, when he was making that face as he was popping her buttons? My friend didn't catch that until I tweeted "THE BUTTONS. THE BUTTONS." and then looked closer and realized "omfg Nikola you naughty boy." And his face kind of reminded me a little bit of this. Just a little. The way he was kind of smiling.

Big Guy acted the shit out of that infirmary scene with Kate. I was just like "GODDAMN, CHRISTOPHER HEYERDAHL."

And oh my god I seriously don't trust this FBI agent, but I really just hope she was a one-off because I like her involvement even less than when Kate first showed up. It just felt *really* heavy-handed. Unless the serial killer priest was actually working with her, or something.

Basically, as long as the Sanctuary writers keep operating at this level, I don't care what the fuck they do with this show. Because yes you are so right about everything in this post <3.

Nikola is just...the best. No words. Cannot deal with his awesome.

Chris is fucking fantastic, I can't even deal with that either.

I'm hoping she's a one-off too because she didn't do anything to make me like her, and so I don't know what her deal is.

"Sanctuary" writers are full of eight kinds of win.

Did you see how relaxed they were? I DID I DID I DID. She was not inclined to move any time soon. And Egyyyppppt. I forgot about that magic. I need to do a rewatch of Helen/Druitt scenes.

Nikola's totally into the crime and medical shows. But they have to be gritty - or at least grittier than "Grey's Anatomy" which he would probably never watch. Fabulous man, fabulous vampire. He can do no wrong. Life motto, there it is.

Oh, yeah, invisible girl. I forgot about her. Well. Still he's awkward x 1000. (There's already a Helen/Will BDSM fic out there. It's actually not bad at all)

Also, "take me to London." I'm a puddle on the floor. Yeah, maybe I rewound and watched that five times.

(Also thanks for the text about the dl link - I fell asleep or something and missed it...)

Snuggle parties forever, please. I feel like that's just where things are headed at this point. Like, at some point we'll be confronted with the possible inevitability of Helen's death, and so she'll give in and snuggle (but it will be okay because she will live and then we will get healthy!Helen AND snuggling)

And Addison, he really liked her because he has a thing for tall, classy women in heels. Yes. He would be one of those people that stopped watching after S3. I could see him loving "Fringe" too. And probably "Skins." He likes to make fun of "Heroes" too.

(It's here - and it's a WIP that hasn't been updated in, like, three months, but it's at an okay stopping point, so.)

Maybe I'm just going to watch Helen/John fanvids for a while. Productive Saturday, you are not happening.

I watched that many many many times because I just liked hearing Amanda's voice there. idek

so much and so good Helen/John yes yes yes, this. I was such a fan of all their interactions.

I will be fannishly flailing every time I go to your journal and see that. Just so you know.

Like in Bank Job when it was her, only not the same at all.

Yes. This. I think I might rewatch Bank Job now. Just because I'm in a flail-y mood for Amanda!voice

I say just paint it on your walls. Giant letters, all across the wall.

It is possible that I am watching the show primarily so that I can read your recaps.... :)

I am so loving the multiple ongoing storylines this season. And the abundance of Tesla. AND I think that Cambodian snuggle finally did me in, in spite of the serial killer heebie-jeebies. Awwww.

I hope Abby is Father Clark's evil twin!

Having you commenting on my LJ has perhaps made my weekend!

Cambodian snuggle. That's it's official name. Yes. Sunny and I were talking last week about how we had to separate John from his serial killer ways and then it's all okay. And that is what I have to do.

I hope Abby is Father Clark's evil twin!

This is something I am hoping for as well!

(And chat sometime soon maybe? And happy pre-birthday!)

Can somebody please explain to me the importance of "Abigail Fernley" as an alias? I am clearly missing something and it is driving me nuts even if it has only appeared once ( ... )

In "Bank Job," Helen says that her name is Abigail Fernley when she's trying to access her vault. I really liked it, probably unnecessarily so.

(These are things I do like to know. Anything involving snow is something I like to know)

The search for the keystone was so not the subplot. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any decent "Sanctuary" fan who thinks so. Any time Helen is doing something, that is the main event. Anyway, I definitely think there's more to the priest plot. I mean, they mentioned something in Hawaii, so I feel like there's a network of creeps like the priest ( ... )

I remember that - I was wondering if there was any significance to it other than knowing one of Helen's aliases. I've read several (non-professional; not like you're not a pro or anything, but to my knowledge you don't work for anything like TV Guide) review of "Bank Job" where people flail about that and have never been able to figure out why ( ... )

If only TV Guide would publish my very sophisticated reviews. They don't know what they're missing. Anyway, I have no idea why people flail about it. I barely know why I flail about it.

(This is why I want a cat/yard for a cat to play in. And yeah. I watched YouTube videos and everything. And I love that all the news articles are freaking out, like, WHERE ARE THE GIANTS AND THE VIKINGS GOING TO PLAY ON MONDAY! WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SOCIETY IF THIS GAME DOESN'T HAPPEN? I also feel like when I go to MN, I will take the LightRail to the Metrodome and just look at it for a bit.)

I do not trust any character on this show whose first scene is not with Helen MagnusThat is a good rule. I think I will adopt it as my own ( ... )
