I knew that Doug Jones had prosecuted those 1963 murders from an MSNBC commentator and from what I read on a news website. Also some of the local radio stations mentioned it. Unfortunately due to the racial climate in Alabama, they wanted to keep part of this man's history low key so as not to frighten away a certain segment of voters. The mainstream media didn't mention it at all.

And you're also right that most men just don't understand the bias and struggles women face; I think AA men might understand better due to racism but even all don't truly get it.

perhaps the saddest thing about Trump is that *stuff* just proceeds from his mouth sans any thought (real or imagined). Last year at this time, we were reeling from the fact of his having attained the highest office in the land.....if anything, I'm in more shock a year on.

May we, and the world, endure this embarrassment, this assault upon peace, decency and logic.
