ok, I am enetering a bicycle race for Sept 9, the univest Grand Prix. I rode the couse on Monday, and it has a total of 6,000 feet of climbing over a course of 60 miles. Everything has a way of working out, I just have to be patient enough to let it work out in a way that's best for all involved. SItuations usually resolve themselves if I don't force them, so I just go along the path of duty until the solution becomes clear.
I remember you posting about the horrible bruises your mother would get when she fell over when clipped into the bike. I went over four times on the training ride and my friend asked me what the hell my problem was. I said I couldn't rotate my feet nearly enough to pop the cleats out, and he asked me when the last time I tightened them was. I asked, "Thewy need to be tightened?" He rolled his eyes. I found the screws were loose and had sooo much float that it was no wonder I kept going over. The problem is now solved : )
I must also say how happy i am thet YOU are posting again too. You have insight that you express only through this name as oppsed to the by-the-numbers of birdstealbread. Your insight lends perspective to a lot of other people, myself included.
