Basically, I applied for a job that seemed too good to be true. Editor for online women's health magazine. Pay was wonderful, hours long, but seemed totally worth it. After the first "trial week," I noticed how all over the board my "boss" was, how he had unrealistic expectations and didn't seem to know the landscape as well as he thought he did. Realizing my growing frustration, he suddenly locked my access to the site--after I'd posted the first article for the site that *I* had written. Anyway, long story shorter, we googled him again and found out this guy has been pulling a scam to get free content for several years. He puts people through a two week trial where you "hire" a bunch of other people to write a ludicrous amount "on trial" and then, he either cuts you off there, or he sends you to another site to do the same thing before he lets you go. No one ever gets paid.
