SO THIS HAPPENED. Never in my dreams did I imagine the Academy would give a damn about Bale but there you go. I'm so happy for him! Love his speech, how genuine and heartfelt it was, how he choked when he talked about his wife and kid. Strange though to think he has an Oscar and Leo doesn't. Now I gotta start campaigning an Oscar for my bb Cillian

Haha, the red carpet fashion is all that matters in awards ceremonies. Yay I'm glad we both agree on the same thing - I don't know why people liked Anne and Jennifer's dresses. They're so bland!
Oh, so many reasons! This post sums it up though.

I'm a bit iffy on Florence. Like, it looks good for her but at the same time, it just doesn't seem right.
I liked Anne's dress on the red carpet except for that bunched up stuff down at the bottom. If that had been hacked off, the dress would've looked much better.
Agreed on Jennifer Hudson. Disagreed with Helena- I think it looks good for her and her offbeat sensibilities. Yes, it looks like a costume but from what I could tell (I watched Fashion Police after the Oscars), that was the point. She was celebrating the costume category (cuz Alice in Wonderland was nominated for that).
That's all the commentary I have, lol. I don't care about the men. It's all tuxes, lol.

Hahaha the yellow beads were a bit iffy but I guess cos she's so elegant she made the dress look amazing.
I liked that Florence didn't feel the need to show skin on the red carpet, that's rare to see and rare to pull off well.
I didn't like Anne's bunch of thingy at the bottom too but I also didn't like her hairstyle. SO MESSY.
Oh, I didn't know that about Helena! She made a good choice of dress then, it really does look like a costume.
Hahah, the men have it easy! ;D

She does look a bit older at times but I hope she doesn't grow up too fast!
