Emancipation Proclamation & Wide Awake are really good too, but they're sooooo long. I stopped reading EP & something happened in WA that had me browsing for other fanfics. Someday I will continue them.
I haven't added Bare or Bright Like the Sun to my rec list yet. These two are must reads. They're both WIP's. The banter that goes back and forth between Bella & Edward in BLtS is so fucking hilarious. Bare is so down to earth and real that I'm in love.
Yeah it took me a while. I still have several I need to add. I read so many I forget what I've read.
BTW have you read Hit By Destiny? I just started it today and I almost cried. That's never happened to me before. I feel really bad for this Bella. Doucheward is starting to come around though. I want to hug them both.
Basically everyone in Bella's life is mean to her. Renee/Billy put her through a tragic event which ruined her. Charlie is oblivious. The entire school makes fun of her - especially Edward - Fork High's "it" boy. She pretty much just shuts down and wants to kill herself.
Anyway. Edward accidentally hits her with his car. From that point on both of their lives change. Edward is a real asshole in the beginning of this, but he does eventually let some of his defenses down and start to connect with Bella and care for her. Also, Bella isn't a complete doormat. There are times when she stands up to everyone who treats her like shit.
I read it really fast because I couldn't wait. I'm going to re-read it slower later and really take it in. Then I probably will cry.
