I figure they think it's Stockholm syndrome, rather than brainwashing. But yes, they have no concept that John could really mean what he's saying.

Hrm. I don't think Daniel would be very sympathetic, actually. To John as a victim, sure, but given his history with Sha're I doubt that Daniel would be able to imagine anyone willingly hosting a goa'uld.
