Now I want you to read a bunch of 2000AD comics and learn something about UK culture.

I keep my oranges in the fridge. They're sweeter when cold AND they last longer. Apples too. :)

The rest? Hogwash. pure and total malarkey. haha.

The moment someone expresses romantic interest in someone else, they're immediately threatened with physical harm by their intended's friends and/or parents

It isn't *normal* - when expressing romantic interest it's flat-out creepy - but I know of at least three cases when it happened at engagement parties. The only recipient who talked about it wasn't terrified, but about the third time he got it he started to get nervous.

Hot water is a precious, precious commodity and using up the last of it is the height of insults.

It takes a hella long time to use up the hot water; it's really shorthand for "someone who is really selfish" because they've been in the shower for over an hour. Two hours in some houses.

When in doubt, ice cream.

A cosmic truth, y'all!

All the food is kept in the fridge. Yes, all of it. Even oranges.

I like my oranges cold. (But not my apples.) Aside from that, huge chunks of America are very, *very* hot places, and food rots if left out. Even oranges will go in a few days in the summer.

When I lived in New York I never had the fanfic dinner of pizza and beer...I mean, it is just fanfic, yes? Meat and two veggies must exist somewhere.

Sometimes I feel it Pizza etc must be mandatory!
