I worked this out with our dear moderator a while back and forgot to say anything about it; Papa Uesugi has been dead for about a year now (so sad) and Tatsuha, being the wonderfully good brother that he is, took over the temple (so Eiri wouldn't have to do it, lucky jerk). ^^ Really, we should have mentioned this before, but I'm a twat
