Who: Suguru and Tatsuha
What: Tatsuha comes to Tokyo and visits Suguru
Suguru: Suguru yawned, scratching his head as he moved around the kitchen for breakfast. He had a migrane earlier this morning and called in sick and had just woken up again a few minutes before. It was a little after noon and he had forgotten that Tatsuha was supposed to be coming over. If he had, he would have at least gotten into better clothes than his boxers and a robe. All that mattered to him at the moment, though, was his cup of coffee.
Tatsuha: Tatsuha's schedule had been fairly condensed for the past two days. He had visited some temple outside Tokyo the day before for a ceremony and, as was custom, spent the night -- like it or not. He had hightailed it as early as he could, though (before anyone could ask why he still had all his hair, mostly), and parked in Suguru's driveway before he knew it. Putting his cycle where it wouldn't be too-visible from the road (just in case), he went to the front door and knocked.
Suguru: Suguru glanced up from his coffee and stared at the door for a moment. Grumbling, he put the cup down in order to tie the robe tighter around himself. That finished, he grabbed his coffee again and moved to the door, opening it just a little. "Can I help- Tatsuha!" Suguru smiled and opened the door wider. "Hey.. come on it! I .." he glanced down at how he was dressed and gave Tatsuha a small grin. "I forgot you were coming for a second, sorry. I would have dressed better than this."
Tatsuha: "Why?" Tatsuha asked, stepping in and shedding his shoes. He shut the door and pressed a kiss to Suguru's forehead. "I like you half naked."
Suguru: Suguru rolled his eyes, tugging Tatsuha down for a better kiss before stepping back. "Because I look like I've just got out of bed for the first time, that's why."
Tatsuha: "You didn't?"
Suguru: "No. I called K around seven and told him I had a migrane, which was true at the time." Suguru moved into the kitchen. "Would you like something to drink? Or eat?"
Tatsuha: "Nah, I'm good." Tatsuha ran a hand through his hair and grinned. "So guess what?"
Suguru: "You father let you have a dog which ran through the temple and caused a mess?"
Tatsuha: "Uh, no, because that would be really creepy. Anyway, I doubt zombie-Dad would like that any more than living-Dad would have." Tatsuha quirked an eyebrow. "Keep guessing."
Suguru: Suguru leaned against the counter. "Somebody found ancient artifacts on the temple and now its worth millions of yen?"
Tatsuha: "Of course not. Stop being silly."
Suguru: Suguru laughed. "Then what?"
Tatsuha: "Nuh-uh. I told you you had to guess."
Suguru: "I can't give up?"
Tatsuha: "Nope. Not allowed."
Suguru: "Do I get clues?"
Tatsuha: "Nope."
Suguru: "All right." Suguru put his coffee on the counter before moving to sit next to it, swinging his feet a little. "Ah.. you love me?"
Tatsuha: "Close enough." Tatsuha grinned and hopped up on the counter to sit next to Suguru.
Suguru: "Well, what was it really?"
Tatsuha: "I told you," Tatsuha said. "I'm not telling."
Suguru: Suguru stuck out his tongue. "You're mean.. and I just woke up too."
Tatsuha: Tatsuha rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever." He paused. "Oh, and I almost forgot." He hopped back off the counter and went to the door, where he had left his shoes and his bag, then returned and tossed Suguru a melon. "Told you I'd find one."
Suguru: Suguru grinned, catching the melon. "I knew there was a reason I keep you around," he teased.
Tatsuha: "Because I bring you melon?" Tatsuha grinned. "Don't get too excited. I bought it off some guy who told me it was cursed."
Suguru: "What's the curse on it?"
Tatsuha: "He didn't say."
Suguru: "I think you should try it first, then." Suguru slid off the counter and moved to put the melon in the fridge.
Tatsuha: "Hey, no fair. I bought it."
Suguru: "Why should I eat it if its cursed?" Suguru crossed his arms, leaning against the fridge. "I'm starting to think you want to kill me or something."
Tatsuha: "Nah. It's probably a good curse. Trust me -- I'm a monk, remember? I can sense evil auras and shit." Tatsuha tapped the counter once with his finger. "Go eat it."
Suguru: "I'll eat it later, I'm not hungry now."
Tatsuha: Tatsuha stuck out his tongue. "Wimp."
Suguru: "How is that a wimp?" Suguru raised an eyebrow.
Tatsuha: "Just is."
Suguru: "You make no sense." Suguru shifted closer to him. "How was the temple?"
Tatsuha: "It was okay. They had an altar my dad would have killed for."
Suguru: Suguru shook his head. "I'll never understand any of that."
Tatsuha: "Any of what?" Tatsuha asked.
Suguru: "Anything involving temples and stuff."
Tatsuha: "It's not that complicated," Tatsuha assured Suguru. "Lots of internal politics, keeping people happy, and making sure everything stays clean. Easy."
Suguru: "Says you. I didn't grow up with it, though, so I guess I wouldn't understand it."
Tatsuha: Tatsuha shrugged. "It's easy to learn, too."
Suguru: "Tell you what." Suguru grinned. "You learn my job and I'll learn yours."
Tatsuha: Tatsuha grinned. "Can't be that hard."
Suguru: "On stage, too. And you have to go to at least three of Tohma's parties."
Tatsuha: "Fine," Tatsuha said, laughing. "But you've got to perform an exorcism and two funerals. Then you've got yourself a deal."
Suguru: "Dearly beloved, we have gathered.." Suguru laughed back. "Why not? Easy. I just hope you can handle K, Shindo-san, and Sakano-san in the same room."
Tatsuha: "I know how to deal with Shuichi," Tatsuha said, waving a hand once.
Suguru: "With K-san and Sakano-san as well?"
Tatsuha: "Meh. I'll train Shuichi to take care of them." Tatsuha grinned. "It'll be fun."
Suguru: "I'm starting to think letting you in the studio is a bad idea." Suguru moved closer to Tatsuha, leaning aginst him a little. "Was the trip here okay?"
Tatsuha: Tatsuha shrugged. "I've ridden through worse."
Suguru: "Who's at the temple while you're here?"
Tatsuha: "Um... Some kid."
Suguru: "You don't even know?"
Tatsuha: "Kind of. Not really." Tatsuha scratched his head once. "His older brother went to school with Eiri."
Suguru: "What if he's throwing a party?"
Tatsuha: "Then he'd damn well better clean up."
Suguru: "Won't the temple loose people?"
Tatsuha: "Does it matter?" Tatsuha asked. He shrugged. "People don't care, Suguru. So long as I manage to keep their little family plots are clean and pretty, they could care less."
Suguru: Suguru made a face, keeping back his selfish comment. "Have you ever thrown a party?"
Tatsuha: Tatsuha paused and then grinned. "A couple times, yeah."
Suguru: Suguru gave him a mock pout. "And you didn't invite me?"
Tatsuha: "That was years ago," Tatsuha pointed out. "If you'd even had a ride there, you wouldn't have been able to stay longer than an hour before you had to leave again."
Suguru: "Ha ha, funny. Next time be sure to invite me, then."
Tatsuha: "If I ever throw another temple party, I'll make sure that you're the first to know," Tatsuha promised with a laugh.
Suguru: "As well as the first one to arrive and last to leave?" Suguru leaned forward a little, giving Tatsuha a kiss on his shoulder before leaning into him.
Tatsuha: "Of course," Tatsuha said. "It wouldn't be nearly as fun if you weren't. But you'd have to bring stuff to eat and shit."
Suguru: Suguru rolled his eyes. "What's the fun if I have to bring my own food?"
Tatsuha: "Not your own food," Tatsuha corrected. "Food to share. Because I can't afford to feed everyone, y'know?"
Suguru: "Why don't I just plan the thing for you? Pay somebody to bring you food."
Tatsuha: Tatsuha shook his head. "Too much effort."
Suguru: "All it takes is a phone call," Suguru pointed out.
Tatsuha: "For you."
Suguru: "So?" Suguru raised an eyebrow.
Tatsuha: "So what?"
Suguru: "I don't mind making a phone call."
Tatsuha: Tatsuha shook his head. "That isn't the point."
Suguru: "What's the point?" Suguru asked.
Tatsuha: Tatsuha shook his head again. "Don't worry about it."
Suguru: "But you've got me curious."
Tatsuha: "It's not important," Tatsuha said with a shrug.
Suguru: "If you say so." Suguru reached up to turn Tatsuha's head, leaning up to give him a kiss.
Tatsuha: Tatsuha returned the kiss and then hopped off the counter to stretch. "So! It's still early. How about you go get dressed and I take you out to lunch, huh?"
Suguru: Suguru grinned, running a hand through Tatsuha's hair. "Lunch sounds great. I'll be right back."
Tatsuha: "Great." Tatsuha grinned. "Hurry up."
Suguru: Suguru nodded and started to the bedroom. Lunch! Lunch sounded good right now.
