Do none of you have anything better to do?

What kind of game lasts a week, anyway? Still, barring outside interferences, the event's at least a mild sort of pointless.

But for anyone who wants something more interesting to occupy themselves with, I'm always accepting new subjects.

New 'subjects'? Do I even want to know?

I'm a scientist; the residents here are subjects.

It's fairly straightforward.

Yeah, not too hot on being a guinea pig. But if you need anything more...'intellectual' than that... What field do you work in?

I wouldn't be concerned; I'm very careful with my materials. I'd avoid alterations with a high risk of death, and any organs I replaced would be carefully preserved in case you wanted them back afterward.

My preferred fields are in biology, chemistry, and soul modification.

Everything's pointless to you.

My research isn't.

What, you still have some of that? Shocking.

...what is it?

One of the problems of working with it is the sheer scope. I can't sever it entirely without killing you (and only temporarily, thanks to the Animus), and I can't contain the whole of it with my current materials.

But if I could remove parts of it, while leaving a minimal structure - it could limit its ability to resurrect in the future. If nothing else, it might mitigate the effects of your condition.

However, considering the... nature of your soul, it may take some time to remove enough of it that you'd notice a difference. But I'm certain it can be damaged; I've inflicted minor wounds to it in the past. If nothing else, we'll know more about how it responds to greater trauma; if it can defend or restore itself, it would help in understanding the resurrection process as a whole.

[There's a long pause while Yuca just... takes that in.]

You're saying- you want to damage... no, remove pieces of my soul? Can it really just be... picked apart like that?

It's not something to be done recklessly, no. And there is a certain composition to souls. With a normal one, cutting off large parts would be dangerous, would cause simple dissolution of the whole, but with yours- well, think of it like a tumor.

There's no need to accept blind idiocy either.

Why not direct your energy towards something constructive and leave us to be idiotic, then ?
