I know that Yuca-san volunteered, and I do not plan on interfering as far as this is concerned. I was just wondering if you would not mind sharing some of the specifics of what you did.

[Dull, as though reading from a report.]

I removed the majority of his soul. It's tied to his memory, and something about it causes permanent reincarnation.

The latter problem can't be solved at the moment, but the former is possibly managed.

I'll be there soon.

[Now that he has given her a job, she's much more efficient and much less polite. As soon as she's done speaking she ends the connection, and a few minutes later she walks into the lab, her boots crunching on glass.]

Should I clean? You could get cut.

[Is not surprised that she skipped the politeness and just arrived; is surprised that she was as quick as she was.

It still caught him off guard when she entered - as even if she had a soul to sense, it would've been smothered by the much stronger presence in the room. Kurotsuchi half-turned, his zanpakutou was half-out before he recognized her, though it took him a few seconds to... not relax, he couldn't relax, but to at least let go of his weapon and stand to look at her.]

Fine, go ahead.

[She gathers the things he was using, and looks at him. First things first: figure out what's bothering the Boss, then clean up his mess.]

What's wrong?

[Lying was too much effort, and he had an unfortunate tendency to honesty regardless.

Even if it wasn't all the truth.]

Removing that - [He gestures vaguely towards the collective containers.] - was an unpleasant process.

No. Just a bit of carelessness. It's probably mine, if it helps.

What's going on?

[Very softly, maybe even perfectly polite. Kurotsuchi is more careful than this.]

Alphonse.

[Tired. Remote. The usual light mocking isn't there, so he probably sounds more polite as well.]

Something of a broad question, isn't it?

Very.

I knew he was coming to see you. Did something go wrong?

It went right, if anything. 'As expected' might be a better description.
