[Like everyone else, Kurotsuchi has changed. The white haori doesn't fit very well, and billows around him. A long, sharply-finned fish tail replaces the shinigami's lower body, and it thrashes occasionally to keep him in place in the water ( Read more... )

Another series of physical changes. Odd, isn't it?

[Yuca is just pleasantly drifting in the water, his legs curled up in front of him. He doesn't really have to worry about being carried away by the tide- there's a little prehensile tail protruding from his tailbone, scaled like a dragon and keeping him securely wrapped around a support beam. The tail works its way up into a series of spikes emerging from his vertebrae, a delicately webbed fin attaching each one. There's also fins on either side of his neck, a set of gills- and his skin looks oddly scaled, with a faint blue-green hue.

Seahorse!Yuca still looks quite bored.]

Not sure if I approve of this or not.

Odd. But it could be worse.

[Notes Yuca's changes without surprise; turning into sea creatures was practically blase by now.]

Yours looks a bit more practical. I had to chain myself to a table to sleep without hitting the ceiling.

It's not bad. I haven't gotten the hang of swimming yet though- and my fin catches on everything.

[A little exasperated, as he reaches behind himself to touch it.]

It's flexible though. Like the angel wings, it's very much a part of my biological system now.

Seahorses aren't known for their swimming abilities. They drift more than anything.

As expected, they're more than simply attached. It's somewhat difficult to vivisect myself from this position- my fins aren't nearly as flexible as yours- but from what I have tested, everything has shifted to adjust to the new form.

... I believe I'm some form of Siamese fighting fish.

Oh... And are you actually a fish, or are you still a mammal, despite appearances?

I'm... not quite sure.

[Give him a second to angle the video just a bit. He's got gills on either side of his throat, but otherwise his entire upper half is the same as always. From the waist down, though, he has a tail - long and red, one small, fan-like fin on each side of his hips, a larger, fanning fin on the end of the tail. Each of the fins fades from red at the base to black at the ends.]

These are the only changes I've noticed.

It'd be simple enough to dissect and find out exactly how much has changed.

It seems some of the modifications are more dramatic than others.

[He appears pretty much totally normal, except for the gills. He is indeed curious about the changes, though, including Kurotsuchi's.]

Yes. They were apparently content with just giving some of you breathing tools, but little else.

And the ability to handle the water pressure, as well.

True. But I wonder how far underwater we actually are. It's not completely dark, and none of my things are crushed, so it can't be that deep.

What are you researching?

I'm bored.

[Also, carefully keeping his lower half off the camera.]

Everything. The effects of the event at the moment, though the problem is getting a large enough sample size.

Are you offering? If you have anything worth offering.

The lungs. Or the tendrils-

[Jellyfish-like, they wave up into the feed.\]

Oh... not bad. How much control do you have over them?

*Jr. has some fairly obvious changes, and the dragon tattoo on his arm is fully visible as the fins up his back make it impossible to wear a shirt, but he doesn't seem to care. He just has his general 'I don't trust you' expression on.*

Yeah, I'm curious, but I think I'll pass on getting vivisected.

Then you're clearly not curious enough.

More like I don't trust you not to cut me open while I'm awake and then let me die if it's easier than making sure I don't bleed out.
