Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Sanji is slim and toned. He comes to 177cm in height. If I had to guess his weight, considering his lithe body, I'd say he's roughly between 65.0 - 69.5kg. His legs are long and lean, yet hold deadly force. This is helpful for him since he moves quickly and his body can flex in a way most people can not.
2. How old is he?

At the moment he's nineteen, but there will be a timeskip in the manga soon by two years. So he'll eventually be 21-22, depending if his age had changed already. One Piece birthdays can be complicated. Oda had already stated that Luffy turned 18, but I'm not sure if this has yet extended to the other crew mates.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?

He seems to have a nonchalant air about him, but he stands properly, back straight and usually with hands in his pockets. He holds himself like someone who's very calm about a situation, or suave; the 'cool guy' image. when he sits it's usually with legs slightly spread, like most men. There are times he'll cross his legs, playing the role of someone refined.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

Very fit. In fact he's never been sick before, which is saying a lot since he nearly starved to death on a rock for ninety days. He's broken bones before though, but doesn't seem to think much about these situations and has hurt his back as well. Again he seems to heal much faster than normal people and acts as if this sort of thing is normal. No one knows what's under his left eye, though Oda says he definitely has an eye under the curtain. Whether there's some reason Sanji hides his face is a giant mystery.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Fluid, definitely fluid. Considering his fighting style is based on Capoeira, which is a Brazilian sort of dance; it's to be expected. He's quick, legs whirl and with acrobatic ability. When around a girl he tends to twirl around or wiggle in place. There's grace in the way he serves the girls as well, he'll bow when in that particular mood, prime and proper, but the underlining dork of his personality still stands out.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?

Considering the men of One Piece, Sanji definitely ranks up there as the closest to bishounen as you could get. He's slender, pale, smoothed skin, blond and has a very charming smile at times. His physical feature has one quirk, that being his curled eyebrow, yet at least for me I think it makes him look good. I don't think I can picture him without it now. He likes to dress well, usually always sporting a three piece black suit; you'd think he thought he was in some mafia genre. He definitely has confidence in himself, though he never brags about the way he looks. If anything he may possibly have an insecurity since poking fun at his eyebrow causes his berserk button to be pressed.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

Fair and smooth-skinned. There's three small scars on his thumb from back when he was young and peeling food.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.

Blond and cropped around the frame of his head. A curtain of hair hangs perpetually in front of his left face. It's seemingly soft looking and loose. Yet if a heavy wind blew you can bet you still wouldn't see the left side of his face.

9. What color are his eyes?

The men of One Piece rarely get color for their eyes. The majority of the men, save a few, have black eyes. Going by fandom though, most would agree that Sanji would have blue eyes. Even the One Piece filler, though not considered canon, has him transforming into an okama with blue eyes. So I guess the animators think that way too.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Besides the curled eyebrow? The hidden face? Not really. He always has a cigarette with him though and has a slight goatie going for him.

11. What are his chief tension centers?

He tends to break his ribs a lot, and since his legs are the main thing he uses, it's to be expected that his major damage zone would be them. Still, he doesn't show these sorts of pains and just seemingly takes it like man.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?

He's usually always sporting his black suit, the undershirt tends to vary though more often than not it's blue with black lined stripes. Recently he's started to change the color of his tie as well. There's a chain that connects from front to back on his slacks, most likely for a wallet. Now and then he may wear simple clothes, though they tend to be somewhat colorful, like the Hawaiian pink shirt of doom that he wears on Skypiea.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?

He definitely looks like he's in his element. Considering how much he moves physically, despite the restraint one would expect with wearing suits; Sanji pulls this off smoothly as if it doesn't affect him at all.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

I wouldn't say being a pirate is a job, but yes. He always usually dress the same way even on down time, with the occasional change here and there.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Ha! This is easy, boxers. Hell I can tell you that one pair is blue in color with red hearts adorning them.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

Tenor. There are times his voice can go down at octave, usually when he's more serious, but he can hit high notes as well. He's got a nice range in his vocals, and sings very well...At least his voice actor can.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?

Low and smooth at times, but with a rough speaking pattern. Again this character seems to flux between things. Rough moreso in the fact that most of his sentences have curse words in them. Yet, smooth because it sounds like he says them casually, unless he's angry. Then he's spitting mad and yelling out insults.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

He says 'shit' a whole lot. To the point that it's just there and not even meant to be insulting some of the time. He could say things like 'Shit, the skies a nice blue.' or 'I have to make breakfast for that shit-captain.' When pissed he says it more often with 'asshole, bastard, and damn' connected with it.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?

Considering the source? I'd have to say that in-world they might be speaking English. Granted the series is Japanese, but unless stated they're speaking it, I can't say for sure. He can seemingly speak some French words, as well. Though this does not mean he knows the language. As for fluency, that's the language they speak and he obviously reads it has well. Despite his foul mouth, when he's in the mood to impress girls he can speak properly.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

The French only really comes up when he's calling out fighting moves, or the few times he'll refer to the women as mademoiselle. He speaks in kinder tones to the girls, though that doesn't totally obliterate his foul mouth around them if an external force is pissing him off mid-wooing.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?

He does a bit of both depending on the situation. It's not that he's thinking how he'll say his words, more like he'd think about a given topic, consider what can/can't be freely given information and then work from there. He can answer without hesitation as well or even with snappy comebacks.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Eloquent with a rough speaking pattern. When he's really really really angry though he can become inarticulate, like when he was told he looked just like his horrible wanted poster and promptly spoke random gibberish.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?

More street-smart than book smart, yet he has read books as well and knows a few things such as some different devil fruits and of course he has knowledge when it comes to cooking. He has a strategic mind and can usually figure things out that others might not catch. Yet he also has dumb moments, usually around women.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?

Both, he's quite flexible with most of the things he does. He can be impulsive with his thoughts or smoke quietly, no doubt pondering what's going around him.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

Again Sanji seems to show multiple ways to figure something out. He's logical, but he seems to have intuition as well, like though he didn't know closing the Gates of Justice would totally work, he felt it would and in the end it did. Logical in the sense that he took on the guise of 'Mr. Prince' confounding the head of Baroque's works, and infiltrating a guarded base with no problems. He's idealistic when it comes to women and practical when it come to serious situations like deciding what was going to be done with Usopp.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

Whether he went to school doesn't seem to be shown for any character, but he was obviously taught how to read and speak before meeting Zeff, his adoptive sort-of father. Other than that from Zeff he learned how to fight and more cooking skills, though Sanji was learning about cooking before meeting Zeff.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?

Cooking for both. He takes a real joy in it and is always curious to learn more.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?

Extrovert. He has no problems being social and can become very excitable around women. He has no qualms telling people how he feels about them, even if it's negative and doesn't really hold back.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Mood swings. He can go from laid-back to driven, from cheerful to melancholy all in one scene if the circumstances are right.  Mainly he likes to show himself as laid-back, but he's quick to temper.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

It depends on the person, he seems relaxed for the most part, but he'll narrow his eyes if he feels something is off. If it's a woman he's meeting he'll be enthusiastic. If it's a regular nice guy off the street vending food or asking for directions, he can be polite about it.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?

Both. ' Act' if he knows he can do something about it, 'react' if whatever is happening might come as a surprise to him and the others. Mainly though it's act.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?

Fight mainly, he doesn't seem to like running away even if a situation is dire. He may fake flight, but it'll turn into fight eventually. In fact he's the type who would sacrifice himself if he had to.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Yes to an extend, what he may find funny from one person, another person saying the same joke might not amuse him at all. He can find stupid things funny at times or just find them plain ridiculous. Morbid humor isn't really his thing, though he can tease about ghosts to his crew mate. Pranks, not so much; unless it's done to idiot men and not on himself or the girls.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?

Nope, he's sane despite the random that can happen in One Piece. Though most of his crew mates may argue that his fixation with girls is a mental order in and of itself.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?

Definitely when he met Zeff and nearly starved to death. Before that lonely rock Sanji had no qualms throwing left-overs away. That experience taught him the value of never wasting anything. Growing up with Zeff toughened him more and made him go out of his way to show Zeff that he was a man, this was done by taking up smoking, which he considered something mature. The debt he felt he owed Zeff seemed to weigh him down, until he met Luffy. Since journeying around I feel Sanji seems more open and less of that 'cool guy with an attitude' that he portrayed to be at first. In time it seems both of these new persona have blended together, giving us the Sanji we have now (who's both cool and a dork.)

14. What does he fear?

Bugs fffff...He doesn't seem to care for the sticky stuff that shoots out of their mouths. Other than that he's the kind who wouldn't back down from something bigger than himself.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?

To find All Blue and to win over the hearts of the girls; mainly Nami's.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?

That he dressed up as a woman no doubt. If there's something he's been keeping secret, the audience doesn't know it either. If there's something beneath his bangs then perhaps that too. Also, it had taken a while before he told the others that he wasn't really from East Blue like the rest of them. Sanji seems, though social as he is, to keep some things to himself until he feels it's worth mentioning.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.

We have no clue if Sanji knew his parents or whether he's an orphan right at the start. Zeff is the closest thing to a father he has and their relationship can get rough. Mainly that they'll curse at each other, Zeff has no qualms kicking him either. Yet, it's obvious that they care a great deal about each other and no doubt Sanji thinks of Zeff as his father.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

Not that any are aware of, Sanji doesn't talk about his life in North Blue or why he left it. I feel he's a single child though.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?

Nope.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?

Zeff, as explained above. The crew itself seems like a family with the closest thing he has to brothers are the men. The women he flirts with so I doubt he thinks of them as sisters. Luffy, Usopp and Chopper are all like his little brothers and Zoro is his age so he's more like a rival/brother. He has no problems kicking them when angry or laughing with them. Competition between him and Zoro is always in the air and Luffy tends to bring the younger side of Sanji out from time to time. Franky seems like an eccentric uncle who indulges with the 'kids' and Brook is just...Brook.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

The whole crew is really is. Nakama and all, but I'd have to say that Zoro in a way is what I could constitute being his best friend/rival (though he'd never say as such). Sanji cares greatly for the whole crew, but the one he always has the most banter with is Zoro. They don't really get along, yet can think along the same lines and would die for each other and the crew if it came to it. Lately they haven't fought as often as they use to, which I feel comes with gaining more respect for one another. Though they fight it's more like pushing each other, which helps raises their limits. Usopp is also up there since they seem to get along well, despite differences. I'd be able to judge if Usopp would be a better choice if they just spoke more with each other, still he treats Usopp the same way he treats Luffy and Chopper.

6. Does he have other close friends?

He only met Gin once, but for a guy Sanji treated him well compared to most. Still I can't say they're particularly close, since they hadn't know each other very well. Of course Gin helping his captain try to take over the Baratie didn't go over very well; they still left one another with a sense of friendship.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?

Men not so much, unless the man in question is polite by nature, then he's pretty social and can be friendly. Women he's overly friendly with and he only has trouble getting along with rude men, even if whatever the man is doing isn't directed at Sanji per say.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?

Both, since they're kind of intertwined in this series. His family are his friends as is Zeff and the cooks of the Baratie.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?

Single, and will probably stay single considering his luck with women. Though I can imagine him wanting to get married and having a daughter.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

He wishes he could have a romantic relationship with any woman, but it's not happening.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?

Probably a random female customer once the thought of the fairer sex started to encompass his thoughts.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?

As much as he says people are their hearts, he can be shown to be shallow. He'd want someone attractive, it'd be nice if this person shared the same interests as he did in cooking. He's the kind who'd like to romance them, even if he does it in a cheesy manner. A person who would find that endearing is a plus.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?

Nope.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?

Zoro is his rival and he's had problems with people on the Baratie before meeting the crew. Of course the regular enemies they fight count such as Gin, Kuroobi, Bon Clay, Satori, Jyabura, Absalom and many others. Of course the World Government/marines in general are the whole crews' enemy.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?

He's definitely straight. The way I play though I'll allow room for possibility, but something such as that would be extremely rare and whoever was attempting to change Sanji would have to work so hard that it wouldn't be worth the bother. Still, a .000001% chance it might work. Who knows?

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?

Even with all his chivalry talk, he's still deep down a pervert. So I'm sure sex is something he definitely wants, but he'll always be denied. It's not important enough though to force the issue in any shape or form, or to even blatantly ask for such a thing.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Turn-on: Women...Beautiful women.
Turn-off: Men, transvestites, old, hideous mermaid women, men, rude manners, men, people who waste food, men...I think the picture is pretty clear.

Sex-wise? He'll probably be too enthusiastic about it. He'd most likely want to cuddle up against them.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?

The fans of One Piece picked his birthday, which is March 2. This makes him a Pisces. I'm not quite sure how he fits the role since I've met many Pisces and not all of them are the same.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?

Not that he's shown, he mentions God once before they went to Skypiea, so it's possible he believes in one, but isn't overly religious about it.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

He's a chivalrous knight, at least that's how he sees himself. He's loyal, honorable and cares greatly for women and not just in a perverted sense. He would never hit a woman, it seems something he just physically can't do and goes against his character. Not even when pitted against a female enemy did he give up this way of being and was defeated by her.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

In the beginning he felt the way Luffy and Zoro believed seemed crazy, though deep down he wanted to be able to have the freedom to do these things too. Perhaps he had been a tad bitter that they could do what he felt he couldn't at that time. Some things he'll tolerate like when Luffy hit Vivi. This is something he normally wouldn't let fly, but the situation was different and he understood why Luffy was doing it. Others he won't tolerate at all like Zoro's insults or Brook's stupid desire to ask women to see their panties. If something doesn't interest him, then yes he'll always be coolly indifferent about it.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?

Shitty-men? Hideous mermaids that he wants to erase from his memory? Creepy transvestites trying to put him in a dress? Nothing really major. Race isn't something that's really an issue for him and despite seemingly against the ideas of being a transvestite it didn't stop him from wearing a dress once and still talking to them. He may not be comfortable with that topic, but he wouldn't truly hate someone for what they do just as long as it doesn't involve him.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

They're pirates, they come and go into money, recently they had a good haul so they're well off, considering how often Sanji has to keep food supplied. The money is a shared thing, so I'd have to say comfortable for the most part.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?

He's still a pirate, granted now he's a pirate with a bounty and a poorly drawn picture upon it, but a pirate none-the-less.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?

He lives on a ship with a whole group of men in the men's quarters. They sleep on bunks now as opposed to before when they used hammocks. Currently he's stuck on an island with transvestites, but I doubt he considers that any form of living.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?

Nothing really besides cigarettes. He seems to use his funds mainly for food for everyone, probably appliances for his kitchen and he's been wearing more clothes recently.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

He's a pirate-cook and from what I've seen he enjoys it very much. It's always an adventure and he may have tiffs here and there, but over all he's happy. Really the main focus for him is to find All Blue, the legendary sea with all the fish of all the oceans. One day he'd most likely want to have a restaurant there so he can feed more people.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

Cooking mainly, it's really something he cares about. Now and then he's the kind who'd read a book or talk over tea with the women. He'd also play around if the mood struck him, such as cards or chess perhaps.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

Considering he's a cook his tastes have a wide range and he'd never deny himself food of any sort. His favorite meal is spicy seafood pasta and things that go well with black tea. He drinks, but not to the heavy extent that Zoro would. Though he cooks he's not above a meal given. He ate at Alabasta from another cook and showed interest in the country's dish and asked questions about it. Right now he wants to learn the secret within the food prepared by Ivankov's chefs, so he's always branching out and learning more about food.

5. Book? Julia Child's cookbook, or any cookbook for that matter.
6. Music? Jazz.
