It must be unimaginably difficult to be in so much pain you have no bandwidth to be of comfort to others who are also hurting over the same loss. He does seem like someone very special.

Oh, what a terrible thing for your mother's family! You told this so well, though, where the reader can tell what's going on in the background even though Rosie herself doesn't understand it.
What utter heartbreak for everyone, losing a son, a grandson, a wonderful brother. :(

This is beautifully written. I love the simplicity rendered by utilizing a young girl's perspective. It's a lovely testament.
