I have been using fedora 15 for the last few months, but am unable to get my BSNL 3G to work. Why can't these clowns at redhat get their act together? My daughter had no problem with Fedora 14.
Do you realize that Fedora is primarily as a community project developed by volunteers and majority of contributors contribute their time and effort freely? Perhaps you should get involved instead of just whining
no, I do not realise that. AFAIK the core developers are all paid by redhat. And if you check the record, I have always been an ardent and vocal fan of both fedora and redhat - and hence have every right to whine.
I don't know that core developers mean? In Fedora, the majority of packages are maintained by volunteers. Red Hat sponsors the infrastructure and a few infrastructure maintainers full time and a few others like the kernel maintainers. It is primarily a volunteer community.
core developer is one who has full commit rights to the repo - although from your comments so far it is doubtful that you know what that means. Go to the fedora site, check who are the core developers and see who employs them. Convince me - I am always willing to change my views. If you cannot do this, go piss on someone else's blog.

I didn't work for my 3g connection either. I tried to enable it using wvdial and it worked but pidgin was still expecting for the network manager notification. Then I tried to delete the connection and add it again. Now it's functional

did not help - I met a lot of redhat guys in Pune - the consensus was that gnome networking is b0rked and I was strongly advised to downgrade to fedora 14. (none of them use fedora 15)
I think it is the time of downfall of Dekstop Distro's(again!?). I was thinking about switching from Mandriva 2010 to Fedora, now I have kept the move on hold.
