SPOILER: Harry is secretly a unicorn!

Jul 16, 2007 23:06

My current method of dealing with Harry Potter spoilers is to pretty much believe anything. Even stuff that probably isn't true, or is heavily distorted. I want to breeze through the book when the time comes instead of working myself up over nothing, but I remember the last two releases*. For Order of the Phoenix I valiantly resisted all ( Read more... )

Harvard Square in Boston is turning into Harry Potter Land on Friday night; Harry and the Potters are playing, they're serving Butterbeer, it's going (hopefully) to be crazy. My friends and I are all going dressed as generic Hogwarts students. I need to make a pin or something that says "Mrs. Padfoot" :P

I was tempted to seek out the first few chapters online, but in the end decided it would FEEL better to just wait and be traditional and non-cheatery about it.

I've managed to avoid spoilers entirely thus far. I have no idea how, although I guess it is easier being a fan of the books but not of the fandom.

Anyway. IT'S ALMOST HERE. Aaaah!

A friend of mine and I originally bonded over Prisoner of Azkaban when we were twelve and have been to every release together since; we're planning to buy the book Friday night and then read most of it sitting in the same room, which will be hysterical enough to make up for the book sucking, should it suck.

Hellz yes. Anyway, half of my excitement currently draws from getting to examine all of Grand-Pre's artwork way too closely. I love that lady.

Being the youngest of so many brothers, she would have learned to be adaptable, of course.

A unicorn? Really? quiet_virgin July 18 2007, 01:39:51 UTC
Y'know, I thought the big revelation in the last book is going to be that Harry is one of the Nargles that Luna is deathly afraid of. Or something equally ridiculous.

In other news, I'm really hoping he dies. It would give my own life more meaning.
