WIL - Weekend 2
Here we go again...
1. Rain = suck the life right out of you.
2. "Italian Lean Time" turned into "Diplomatic Relations" fairly quickly.
2a. 3 Italians + 4 English = Good times on the fence!
2b. Too bad it was too wet for "Italian Lounge Time."
3. Getting a shout out at Morning Meeting on my fights was amazing!
3a. Knowing that I missed a part in the fight made it funny.
3b. Knowing that I can cover up that part made it brilliant!
4. Henry and Lisana sittin in a tree...K-I-S-S-I-N-G...
4a. Who said anything about treason??
4b. It was just a ring given "with the blessings of the Pope." (So what if it was a ring that she's waited her whole life for??)
5. COD for kangitanka for the WIN! Good on ya, Buddy!
6. Sometimes I think I'm never going to be as good as my kids.
6a. One tears up the lanes.
6b. The other is out there - even sick.
7. Having good friends insist you stay with them, even though they need time alone, is one of the sweetest things ever.
8. Red roses from your kid make a rainy day shine.
9. My gowns weigh a ton when they're wet.
9a. If caught in chess match accidentally with a sword when they're wet, "it's like Arthur shoving the sword back into the stone!"
10. Having a young girl feel like a princess is worth hours and days without sleep to gift her a gown.
10a. Knowing it is "wash and wear" after 2 mud filled days is even greater!
11. Lilly MOONED the Contessa!
12. When our new Sergeant Major of the SRG comes to you in the keep and tells you that he is really afraid of the Contessa on the chess board, and would NEVER want to have to fight her anywhere, it brightened my entire day!
12a. I had no idea that I could be that scary, on or off the board.
12b. Now I want to fight him next season - and have him win!
13. Looking up at the tarp over the chess board in the rain and seeing the tear put there last season by a boar spear tickled me into remembering a line in a song from Sweeney Todd - "There's a whole in the world and it's full of shit..."
13a. Donkey braying B is HILARIOUS!
14. Knowing Mel is hurt freaks me the hell out.
14a. Running over yourself with a backhoe is something I would do.
Looking forward to Weekend 3.
Going to try to get more productive lane time. I'm sure feeling like I could do more, if there were more hours in the day. :)
