Realizations and Rationalizations

It's a little less than 3 days until the last weekend of faire.

I'm ready and not ready at the same time.  Much has transpired this season, not all bad and not all good.  I've done a lot of thinking about things recently.  I've had many realizations and have tried to look at them without emotion butting it's ugly head into it.

I think we all tend to go through this type of thinking at one time or another. There is nothing wrong with being emo and letting it all out as it helps us to move forward in a positive way. There is nothing in the rules that says one "HAS" to do faire every year... unless you happen to be Kangitanka lol.

I'm always on the fence every year trying to decide what capacity I would/won't return to faire and its all dictated on the hearty... usually at the last minute.

One can always be a rock star, talented, go you etc etc so long as one doesnt believe their own press as I have seen in a couple of people this year. Those people tend to learn the hard way that its time to shut the hell up ;)

If you want to mentor then get with Dana/Ryan and make it happen. Do not wait to be chosen. Be proactive and get what you want.

Your new character idea sounds really cool! Just be ready to struggle once again with new concepts, challenges etc (and don't say you are ready cause none of us are when it comes to experimenting ;)

Maybe after Faire is over you can make some time for a "non" faire friend...and we can hang out and you can remember that Faire is not the whole world...just a fun PART of it.
