WIL - Final Weekend and FOF Day
And we're done with Workshops!
For us Veteran Performers, it was 6 weeks of "cram in as much information as you can" and for the SAPAlings and 2nd years, 8 weeks of "learn FASTER!"
1. OMG! I'm tired.
2. Flower loves Grace, but yes, she was completely ineptly named.
2a. "That was her father's doing...were it MY doing, she would have been named 'Oh dear CHRIST, do NOT touch that!!"
3. Bill McCurry will probably always make me nervous when he asks me my opinions about things.
3a. I really like the fact that my opinion matters to him because I respect him so much.
4. "What Chris? Me? On the parapet? Doing WHAT??"
4a. Announcing the Royals was really a whole lot of fun!
5. Having my VERY best friend earn her SAPA badge was the highlight of my season.
5a. "told ya so..."
6. The words, "Our faith in you is not misplaced. Trust us." sounded unbelievable.
6a. That means that more than one person has faith in me...no pressure.
7. Wind gusts that shower you in dust suck
7a. Blaming a patron, who blames his son 20 yards away, makes for a LARGE scene.
7b. Seeing the same patron later and talking about him within his earshot is awesome!
8. I LOVE walkies with Waterford.
9. 1/2 cast + 2X food = Lunch on Sunday.
9a. Ziploc bags are a lifesaver.
10. Collaborating with Bill Teel on Company Dinner (a.k.a. The Lord Mayor's Dinner) was a hoot!
10a. I can count on a LOT of people for help in the planning and execution.
10b. Shay, Morgan, ShayWhat are amazing for helping me when I was overwhelmed and I owe them a lot!
10c. Stories by Matthew Duvall in the candlelight was unbelievable!
10d. I hope this renews the excitement of this experience for SAPA, but I can't take credit for all of it.
11. My fights on the chess board are so much fun!
11a. Having patrons tell me that they liked watching me beat up the gyptian is awesome!
12. I hate the fact that our period correct dialect has gone out the window with that stupid audio cd this season.
12. Even in shows, it is still NOT appropriate to use contractions and the word, "okay."
13. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE - DAMNIT!!
13a. Any respect for you I may have had is now gone. Completely.
13b. I am still professional enough to work with you without causing a scene, but that is it.
14. I refuse to feel put out in my own sandbox. This is MY place. I earned it.
15. I find it hilarious that Flower is so different from Lisana that even people that are close to me in real life cannot recognize me in costume.
16. I have a parking space. I use it every year. Do not park in it. GRRR!
17. Pretty girls are pretty.
18. HOLY CRAP! Marvin can fight!
19. Royal Masque on the Crown Stage is gonna be GREAT!
19a. Standing under a tree with folks away from the rest of the cast gives a different perspective of the show.
20. A found bird's nest will completely distract me from court dancing. I've done that before but I haven't had a nest.
20a. I will eventually volunteer to take King Henry's hand if he holds it up long enough...because Flower won't.
20b. He's REALLY above Flower's station and makes her stutter.
21. Wrestling is dangerous.
21a. Whacking heads and ripping pants...luckily not the same person or at the same time!
21b. I felt sorry for them both.
22. Newbie mistakes are universal. We all make them at one time or another. We should all remember that.
23. Chugging water when you're hot is bad...vomiting is worse.
24. Warming up your voice for the day IS a good idea...
24a. If your voice cracks, you're scrummed for days afterwards.
25. Injuries. I dislike them on me AND my friends.
