A reflection in the mirror shows up on the screen revealing to an audience of consumer and machine that through our ordinary tasks be it the first one or the last that something simple such as photographs could be all that's left about our past.
this was my favourite part of the poem, its so true though. Like i notice it now, when im somewhere and somebody wants to take a photo, it becomes an event. Like the actual taking of the photo rather than an experience that just happened on its own without the aid of a camera? that later ends up on facebook?
Great poem. Your reference to this man-machine struggle really helped to exemplify some of the ideals that we see in Dickens novel, 'hard times'.
