Post holiday exhaustion

As expected, working through Valentines left me exhausted, sore, and very well off. I had to take a day off, and have spent today doing nothing of importance. My clients, trying to be romantic, brought me lots of treats mostly chocolate (very nice chocolate, I'll add) and flowers. I tried them, the candy of course, but I ate so many sweets yesterday that I don't think I can tackle all of it. And there is a lot, one slightly off kilter man brought me a big shopping bag full of nothing but chocolate, save for a baggie cookies. He must think teenagers do nothing but eat junk food. I wouldn't say he's completely off about that. If there's anyone with a sweet tooth out there, I'd be glad to share all this with you. If you like the waxy boxed chocolate I'll practically force it upon you. Five clients and every one brought me boxed chocolate. I'm not a big fan of that.

It's been over two weeks since arriving here, and I've become accustomed to it. It's far less intense than my life before. There's a certain degree of ownership for us here , but it's a far cry from life above the club. We aren't branded, our rooms aren't bugged, we aren't tracked everywhere, and the only physical abuse we face is from bastard clients. Thus far I've only had two who did anything much to me. The two other potential threats I was thankfully able to cuff to the bedpost before trouble arose. It's not the life I want, the life anyone wants, but it's a step up from what I had and I hope I never get sent back to LA. Now if I could choose where to be sent back, if we ever even return home, that would be different.

To those who've roamed the city a bit, do you know anywhere with novels in English? It frusturates me having nothing to read.

musings, chocolate, books, lawr, valentines
