The glass "dome" is known as the "Enclosure" or "CES", though I cannot tell you what those letters are meant to represent. It is a place where the nature of the outdoors is replicated for the purpose of increasing a person's comfort and happiness. If you an inmate, however, you will need to be escorted.

Have you recently arrived? I would be glad to offer you further assistance if it is needed.

Because I've come into possession of an Eastern Indigo Snake. Young, still growing... beautiful. But I'd rather know its sex before I name it. Of course, I could do it myself, but I was told to try asking you.

Ah. Yes, I believe I could spare him or her a little unnecessary discomfort, if you would allow me to pay a visit.
