Somehow, the effect of a few days' hard-earned vacation is lessened when one gets back to the office to discover that she's been assigned scut work. Topic: Christian Ryan.

If you want to make a move to take him down a peg or two, I think it might work out for the best if it's the both of us. After all, I remember how successful you were with trying to topple the last favorite son of the firm. Seems to me like you might need a little backup.

First and foremost, the primary thing we can take away from him is Charles Gunn. Now, don't think I haven't thought about making sure he's locked in the white room with the conduit long enough for him to go seriously cuckoo for cocoa puffs, but something tells me we couldn't manage that without raising the ire of the Partners.

Do you have anyone on private payroll that we can hire to hit Ryan's place and loot it, snatching up anything that looks as though it might be something we can use?

Ah yes, Charles. Charles could be extremely useful, and I have an idea or two about how he might possibly be swayed.

Christian does seem to be the golden boy of the moment, more's the pity. We must tread with extreme caution here. It should be simple enough to have his place tossed; it isn't as though he's ever there. I believe you could be on to something, Eve. I'll check into it.
