Tomorrow I'm going to Raleigh for the big Moral March along with a progressive-politically minded friend. The rally was pretty good.

The bus was an adventure... We bought bus tickets because we figured parking in downtown Raleigh was going to be a pain (1000s of people were forecast for the event and Raleigh is 20 miles away). The bus was full of cheerful elderly lefties - somebody brought biscuits and juice and coffee and it was very cute and festive. BUT then after the rally, it took literally hours to get back. Why? Because a lot those elderly people got disoriented finding the bus meeting point and were hard to track down. The bus sat for like an hour waiting for them. Then kept leaving Raleigh, realizing still more people had been left, and turning around and coming back. That happened maybe three times?

It's already no longer frustrating and instead a funny story, but next time maybe I'm looking for a bus sponsored by a university group instead :D
