My parents did Mount Monadnock (I assume it's the same one!) with us when they were still up for camping with small kids (and only had two). From the pictures and my vague memories, I was four or five-ish and my younger sister was two or three-ish. I know I did some walking and some time in the backpack; Sara probably didn't walk any significant portion, but I could be wrong, since it would have been 24-25 years ago!

ETA: My mother thinks Sara must have been less than 18 months, which would have made me less than three and a half, which means I couldn't have walked much of it at all (although I do remember being lifted down one drop on the trail, so I must have been on my feet some of the time).

according to their site, it's the second most hiked mountain in the world! there are many different trails to get to the top. we've done quite a few of them. everything from a 8 mile nature walk way to a climb high & fast and you're at the top.

perhaps in a few years, you'll be climbing it with your kids! be sure to visit ;-)
