Filled with Sadness

A friend's daughter has been murdered. I just can't get my head around this senseless act of violence. What do you say to someone who has lost their child in this tragic way? Dazed and shocked I search for answers - how to offer comfort when nothing in the world can bring her back to them...

I have since found out the details. How very sad, and it appears that the killer is severely mentally ill. I hope he gets compassionate treatment in a facility where he can be safely incarcerated for the rest of his life; it's not worth the risk of him doing something similar ever again.
