Yay! I finally heard back from UW- Madison about my transfer application. I got accepted :) yay. Truthfully I wasn't too worried, and at the same time a bit worried that I felt that way. Oh, well, that is done with. I am in. :) I can't decide if I should actually live in Liz. Part of me doesn't want to because of the all-girl aspect. ( Read more... )

thats a good point about not wanting to live in Liz, although I love it here. We have the best cafeteria (right in out dorm) the biggest rooms and we are right in the middle of campus, so all your classes are very close. I would say though, if youre not going to live in Liz, go for selery, its the closest of the south east dorms, it has the SERF right across the street, the dinning hall is really close, and the rooms arent too bad. If you want to go lakesore, Slichter's the way to go. But I wouldnt want to go anymore lakeshore than Liz is but I guess thats up to you. Well there you go, thats my two cents. Kepp us up to date on what your final decision is.

Slichter is kind of the next closest lakeshore dorm. Although all lakeshore dorms are pretty far. I guess Tripp and Adams are closer, but they're all sophomore dorms, w/ people who generally aren't living there to make new friends. Sellery is good. Rooms are the best of the southeast dorms anyway. Don't let cafeteria sway your decision. Liz is a bitch to move into w/ no elevators. I should know. I had to move into and out of 2 rooms. Or, will have to move out of my 2nd room, that is. The cafeteria is right next door to Sellery, so unless you can't walk 10 feet, umm . . . Slichter isn't too far away. There are a lot of hills on lakeshore, so be prepared to make some treks daily. If you have any questions, just ask me over aim later.

I would choose living away from your WW friends. You can always visit them anytime you have free.
I also couldn't stand living with all girls...AHHHH!
The plus is the dining hall and location, but it's up to you. If you have reservations about living there, don't do it. You'll make friends no matter what! Sometimes it's nice to live away from your close friends. Sorry..I hope I helped a little.

hmmm, I'm going to be in Sellery. It seems like a good dorm. better than ogg. I didn't like Slichter cause we stayed there for SOAR and...well....it sucked. Not so many people enjoyed it.

A couple of my friends live in Witte, and plan to be living there next year again. I've been to visit them once so far and am spending this weekend with them. It seems like a nice enough place, the rooms seem to be a nice size and all...

And hey, congratulations on the transfer! :)
