My Carnie Wilson story

Jan 04, 2006 03:21

I think Carnie Wilson(daughter of Brian Wilson(Beach Boys) and member of Wilson Phillips, famous gastro bypass surgery advocate, ok, you know who she is by now I hope)are meant to be friends and here's why: A few years ago before I met Mr. Pie, I was working in a little coffee shop here in LA. Carnie Wilson and her husband come in and order coffee ( Read more... )

I have people like that in my life - people I end up seeing more often than friends. It's weird and I'm always trying to figure out what the message is.

But none of mine are as famous as Carnie Wilson. :) Cute story!

I think if you find yourself in the same place, at the same time as someone more than 4 times and they don't work there and it's not the same place over and over again, that's pretty weird.

I've been in Southern California/LA Area for over 3 years now and to my knowledge have never ever seen a 'famous' person.

Either I'm totally self-involved or just don't hang-out in cool places!

That's what I find funny about my Carnie story. I've seen lots of famous people when I'm in certain restaurants or clubs but every time I see her, I'm just in some hohum sort of place.

.

So, the next time you see her you have to say....

"Are you stalking me?"

This will put her on the defensive and you'll have something to talk about without seeming like you are stalking her.

Which you're not.

Obviously she is stalking you.

Great story...I'm with you on the weird coincidence. There was an actor (He's not as famous as Carnie Wilson, but he was on one of my favorite shows.) whom I ran into three times and I actually DID say to him: "are you stalking me?" hehehehe He kind of looked at me with an awkward smile and then I explained how this was the third time we've been near each other and then he laughed and said: "darn, you found me out". We both laughed. I haven't seen him since, though. :-(

Funny. Did you see him at different places or the same place? See, I've ran into certain celebs at certain bars in Hollywood(when I was single) more than once and that's still odd but when it's different places, it's really strange. It really seems like you should just be friends or something. Unless it was like, Nick Nolte or someone like that, then noooo thanks. Happy New Year!
