Short answer: Links to a bunch of e-commerce sites that people post in their journals are being redirected to third party sites and having their affiliate links stripped out or replaced. I'm not very good at explaining it, but they're basically stealing revenue from their users. Read the post I linked for a longer explanation that makes more sense than mine.
You can opt out through the Admin Console. There are directions here.
They've supposedly "fixed" it now (since they're claiming the code didn't do what it was supposed to do, which I don't believe for a second), but some people are still having problems. I *strongly advise* everyone to do the opt out anyway. It won't hurt anything, and it could keep LJ's latest stupidity from affecting you if they really haven't "fixed" it.
