To my knowledge of lj's open source code, there is no override to make every comment on a page or pages show, the more comments you received the more are miniumized, also when you comment using the 'reply to this' your chances of being miniumized increases, b/c if you reply from the 'parent' it will more than likely not. ha--I hope that makes sense. It's lj's way of handling mega comments and replies. There is no code override for this. It is not an html or css issue.
