I just finished a new layout, and I went a little crazy with the s2 coding this time around. I'd really appreciate some constructive criticism if you have a few spare moments. Still, it's the things like the rounded edges and the gradient at the bottom that tie it all together, make it look neat and beautiful. This layout is, imo, very nice. Now, I don't know S2, so I have no idea how default this is. If it is, then oops. To me, it looks very nice.
A note on the gradient - it seems, to me, odd that it's the same width as the entries. Because of either a trick to my eyes or a trick of my monitor, it appears that the entries are actually WIDER than the gradient, which really looks odd to me.

While I'm not sure I 100% agree with you about the use of a script font (I'll admit, though, that I love quirky fonts, so I'm a bit of a sucker for anything unusual), I think you make a very interesting point about the gradient. I'll see what happens if I decide to play around with that later. I'd actually had the same thought when I first put it together but figured it was just my eyes doing something strange. :)
BTW - it's a heavily modified s2 layout. This is basically what the flexible squares layout would look like if you didn't do too much to it graphically in case you're curious.

I've never been too fond of S2, almost all of them look the same.
