I think any version of heaven and hell that starts with 'they're exactly the same place' is really just describing hell and hell. Like here, "We'll start by taking away the ability to choose between good and evil..."
Of course, when I try to come up with my own conceptions, I get heaven being the place that god takes the 'worthy' souls that have proven themselves useful for his schemes, and hell is the trash heap where everyone else ends up and is forced to fend for themselves. Which is 'hell and hell' without even having to be symmetric.
