I applied at ICT today and got the job. Damn I'm good. I'll be working for Virgin Mobile and I get a free phone once I finish training in 4 weeks. The good part is I don't start until the 23rd and have 4 days off next week. I get to sit on my ass and chill for most of the week, what a fun time that will be had ( Read more... )

lol --- yeah, if you're not motivated enough to write a 40-page proposal for a book, I do not think you'd be motivated enough to write the book. However, I can see how one would be more inclined to write the actual book over writing a 40-page explanation of why this book is textworthy. I hate trying to prove something in X amount of pages that could be easily stated in a simple paragraph or something. Know wha 'm sayin'?

;)

Luck to you.
-Jason

PS - Tell me. What's the book to be about?

I know exactly what you're saying. I think if I didn't have a job and I lived on my own I'd feel more inclined to write it since I can surround myself in things that inspire me and have plenty of time to do it. ;)

It's just preliminary, but I think it'd be cool to write a satire about a guy whose ready to accept religion into his life but he's too impulsive and not together enough to commit to one religion. When he finds faults in one, he simply moves onto another. It needs work, but I suppose that's what an outline is for. :P

I was actually looking into the idea of working for virgin because I like what they stand for or their outlook on stuff - however it seems that the virgin group is very decentralized - so I couldn't find a "headquarters" lol

---So be a good LJ buddy and find out what you can (virgin mobile must be sending their money SOMEWHERE - where is this "somewhere"?)

Virgin Mobile is actually a company that's owned by Virgin Records, which is a company that's owned by MTV, which is a company that's owned by Viacom. I would say to contact MTV, and Virgin Mobile is in the bag, lol.
