Retreating abroad could be the way forward (ooh that rhymes) but for the money involved. Staying at Chalice Well is a lovely way to get away from everything - especially as there's no TV there and being in the garden when no-one else is there is fab. But, the pull of the shiny things in the high street is a bit of a bank balance slayer.

That's priceless!
I didn't really have too much to do with the rest of the hotel, I just went straight to my room and stayed there. It was clean enough, but the stupidly loud (and awful) music was not needed. I felt like I was having my space invaded at a time when I needed peace and quiet. I did try to get in at Chalice Well but it was fully booked.
I went for the BP as it was cheap, I was supposed to be staying over on Saturday night with friends so it was a money-saving exercise. Except the friends didn't show in the end. The buggers.
